testing to qualify for the ENERGY STAR label. ENERGY STAR
labeled products can be up to 40% more energy efficient
than products required under most common national building

The measure of a window's energy efficiency is called its
U-factor. U-factor is a measure of heat transfer through
an entire window unit, including the frame and glass. The
lower the number, the better the energy efficiency.
UniFrame windows have U-values as low as .20.

R-Core® insulation, InterForce II™ Fiberbeam™ with I-beam
technology and the Intercept™ Glass Spacer system.
Low-E Glass
Low-E glass features a special coating designed to
reduce the transfer of heat and cold through the glass -
in other words, to keep your heated or cooled air inside,
while keeping the elements out. Low-E coating also can
eliminate up to 75% of UV rays, so your furnishings keep
their color and good looks longer.
There are two major types of Low-E glass. Hard coat
uses a metallic oxide such as tin and may have iridescent
color variance in the form of blue, green or rust tint.
Soft coat is a higher performing product made by applying
minute particles of silver to the finished glass surface
in a total vacuum.
