This is one of the reasons 40% of our business is referral or
repeat business!
I am sorry that this letter is so late in coming but I was waiting
to finish the roll of film with the "after picture" before I could send
this note of thanks.
I have been a repeat customer of Target Window & Door since 1996.
I have always been happy with the results of your product and the service
from your staff. Joe Reisenauer and Leonel Garcia are second to none
in their fields. This latest project only served to confirm that fact.
After trying several years to replace a poor fitting, hideous looking
entry door, I was frustrated with dozens of contractors who never called
back, failed to understand what I wanted or came with outrageous estimates
because they claimed the job was too difficult and time consuming. I
then called Joe because I knew that he had been able to understand my
vision on the past with respect to replacement windows. I wanted to
replace one side of a double entry way with a sidelight. The right side
"door" was covered with drywall. Everyone with whom I spoke said a sidelight
could not be installed there because it wouldn't look good.
Well, as always, Joe came to my rescue. He understood what I wanted
to do and had some wonderful ideas to assist my decision making process.
As you can see, the end result is beautiful and makes a world of difference
in the overall appearance of our home. Leonel, as usual, was undaunted
by the task. Not only did he install the sidelight and the door perfectly,
but he accomplished it in only two says. He is courteous, professional
and talented and is a wonderful asset to your company. We now have a
door that fits properly and looks great. My husband and I continue to
be impressed with both your service and the quality of your product.
Thank you so much for your help. Please give my best regards to Leonel
and Joe. We'll call on Target Window & Door again for our next project!
Sincerely,
Bernadette de Barajas

Joe Reisenauer,
We enjoyed meeting with you and spending the time with us to cover
all the features of the Great Lakes Windows. I was really dreading having
to go through all the construction having all the windows & doors replaced,
but was surprised about how quickly and professionally the job was done
by the installers.
We are very pleased with the quality of the windows and the two patio
doors. We noticed a difference in quietness and absolutely no cold air
coming in around the windows and doors. We look forward to a cooler
house during the summer months.
After moving here four years ago, having all these drafty single
pane windows & planning on staying here five more years, we debated,
whether replacing all the windows would be worth the extra expense.
We are pleased with our decision.
Hopefully, for our next house, we will have windows the quality of
Great Lakes Windows.
Sincerely,
Jeanne & Monty Hoppestad

Dear Joe Reisenauer:
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! We love our new windows & sliding
glass door. They are beautiful & a snap to clean.
The first thank you is to you, Joe, for the knowledgeable assistance
you gave us in planning for our new windows, not to mention the quick
response whenever we had a question. It was a pleasure having you in
our home & trust me, if you had tried any hard sell tactics I wouldn't
be saying that!
The second thank you goes to all the unseen people at Target that
provide the quality customer service that we have received. Our housewarming
party was scheduled and only our greenhouse window had arrived at your
warehouse, but they split up the installation, installed the window
and did not charge us extra when they installed the rest of our order.
The last thank you goes to the men who installed our windows and
door. They were very professional, took great care to not damage anything
that couldn't be moved out of their way, and worked so quickly: in and
out of my kitchen in just a few hours!
As we continue to remodel our home, Target Window & Door will remain
an integral part of our design plan.
Sincerely,
Dawn & Bruce McNeal

Gentlemen:
Thank you very much for the excellent installation of
windows and vinyl frame coverings. The quality of material and workmanship
are a dream come true.
The additional light coming into the home, the outside
noise reduction entering the home, and the overall insulating effect
are very welcome and undoubtedly cost saving as well.
My only complaint is that if any one tries to break
into any car parked on the street, I might not hear it anymore.
Thanks again for a job well done.
Sincerely,
Gerri Arvizu

Dear Mark Cherney,
Last Thursday Lionel and crew appeared promptly at eight
with our new windows. Lionel immediately started to work with Isaac
and Felix - showing them the locations of the old windows and the sequence
in which we wished them to be replaced. Pads were placed beneath each
window as they were demolished (with NO glass found inside the house
after the removal of the old frames and panes). It was a very professional
job.
The old windows were removed without a single crack
in the outside stucco or the inside plaster. Lionel's team worked ,
with virtually no instruction, like a well-oiled machine;' each person
doing the proper job in the correct sequence. Whenever something out
of the ordinary occurred we were asked how we wanted it handled - and
it was then taken care of to our satisfaction. It was a pleasure to
watch! As Felix demolished the last old window, Lionel completed the
installation of the new frames, and Isaac installed the sealing on the
inside. They then all started on the metal molding on the outside of
the windows. This is a rather tedious repetitive job but they all worked
with virtually the same skill and we cannot tell which window was done
by a specific person as they are all beautiful. Our thanks and congratulations
to you Mark, Mari, Lionel, Isaac, and Felix for a job "WELL DONE!"
If Nancy or I had a question, or suggestion, it was
handled immediately. The old frames and glass were removed along with
any dirt or dust raised during the work, so we had nothing to clean
up after they left - no muss, no fuss, no problem. We now have a house
with 18 Great Lake windows and one sliding glass door and windows installed
by Target. If you wish to use this house as a demonstration point, please
feel free to do so - just let us know in time as we are out of town
a lot.
Again, thanks for making our home much more attractive,
quieter, cooler, and up-to-date!!!
Very truly yours,
John and Nancy Killen

Dear Mark Cherney,
We are thrilled with our new dining room bay window,
kitchen garden window and sliding glass door. The only problem is now
we have to buy another sliding glass door to match, which we will soon
do.
Your installers did a superb job. They were very professional
and very clean in their work. They knew exactly what they were doing
and they did it. So many times after having work done there are unfinished
places and horrendous cleanup. Not with this job. They saw to every
little detail. Everything was done and cleaned up.
We showed the windows and door to a friend who is in
the interior decorating business. She was so impressed she wanted your
catalog. we gave her ours. Another friend wanted it also.
We also like your monthly newsletter. Only people who
buy windows and doors from you will know what we are talking about.
So, those of you who are reading this letter had better buy windows
and/or doors if you want to find out about the newsletter.
Thank you again,
Very sincerely,

Dear Mark Cherney:
Dear Joe Reisenauer,
I wanted to write this letter to you to express my satisfaction with
the recent (July 28, 1999) installation of all new windows in my 1977-year
built, 2 story, 2000 sq.ft. house. You installed 15 large windows including
one six-foot wide patio door and one 4ft. by 5 ft. bay window in my
kitchen. The existing windows in my house were the aluminum, single
pane sliders. They were hard to open and close, they leaked badly (you
could see the dirt blow in from outside), they did not cut out any outside
noise (I could have a conversation with my neighbor through my window),
and above all they were ugly.
Both my wife and I being mechanical engineers, our two major concerns
were with the construction of the windows and how the windows would
be installed. The construction of the windows it top quality. Before
seeing the Great Lakes Windows, I had inspected numerous double pane
glass, vinyl replacement windows from Home Depot to several window contractors.
The Great Lakes Window had a sturdier frame, the windows rolled very
easily and when shut and locked with the cam locks provided these windows
were solid and impenetrable. Besides the cam locks on the windows, I
was very impressed with the locking mechanism on the sliding patio door
and the bay windows.
The sliding door has a three point locking system. A steel rod locks
the door at the head and sill while an L-shaped hook latches the door
to the jamb. The bay window has a crank handle to close the window and
then a latch that tightly pulls the window to the window frame. Every
time I close these windows, I feel like I am closing a bank vault and
a smile comes across my face. Think of how it feels to shut the door
of a Yugo automobile verses the door of a Mercedes Benz. These windows
are the Mercedes Benz of windows. The installation of the window by
your company is unique in the window replacement industry.
My concern was that I wanted the windows to be effective (a good
thermal seal) and I wanted the windows to look like they were the original
windows in my house. Most window replacements re installed without removing
the existing aluminum frame from the old windows. I did not like the
idea of leaving in the aluminum frame of the old window since aluminum
is a conductive metal. I thought it would be best to the aluminum window
frame and attach the new window frame directly to the wood framing of
the house. When the windows were completed, they were perfectly finished
on the inside and outside of the window.
First, expanding foam was used to seal any open gaps between the
frame of the house and the new window frame. Next, the interior of the
window was finished with vinyl strips and caulking to fill any gaps.
Lastly, on the outside of the window, a custom-made metal sheet molding
is formed around the outside of the window and sealed with caulking.
The window installation was impressive since it looks like these windows
were always installed in my house. After having all of the windows installed
in my house,
I noticed a big change. First, in the middle of the summer, my air
conditioning would never get down to 74 degrees F and shut off. With
the old windows, I was lucky if the air conditioning (which would run
constantly) could keep the house at 78 degrees F. With the new windows
installed (I got HiR+Plus-soft coat Low-E glass with argon gas), I closed
all of the windows, turned on the air-conditioning and within a few
minutes, the house was at 74 degrees F (and the air shut off). Previously
working for the Southern California Gas Company for three years as an
energy consultant, I thought I was in energy conservation heaven.
My second big change was the quietness inside my house when I had
all of the windows closed. I did not hear the dog barking, the cars
zooming by, and the neighbor's kids screaming in the street. I sat quietly
in my house and read the paper. The last big change was how the windows
looked increasing the value of my home and making my wife and I feel
happy. I urge all of your potential customers to got to your showroom
in Burbank and se and feel the windows. Open them, close them, lock
them. You will be impressed as we were.
Thank you for the installation of our beautiful, effective windows.
Please use me as a reference, if you have a potential customer that
would like to talk about the windows. I must say that I am very proud
of them ..
I would recommend these windows to anyone unhappy with their existing,
old fashioned, inefficient, drafty, ugly, aluminum, single pane windows.
Sincerely,
Steven Measer
